Amy and Carson hired me to be their wedding photographer for their May wedding in downtown Wilmington, NC at one of my favorite venues. When I met them during their engagement session at Wrightsville Beach, I knew these two were the perfect couple for me to work with. They are genuinely some of the most fun people I’ve ever met, and they absolutely don’t take life too seriously. When Coronavirus changed their plans for their perfect wedding day, they were stuck with either postponing their date to next year, or to figure out a new plan. Their date was extremely significant to them, so they decided to have a private wedding ceremony with only their immediate family members and just a handful of close friends. There were under 20 people in attendance, and I have to say, it’s one of my favorite weddings to date. There was no point in the day where we were in a rush, it was incredibly calm and relaxed, there was no big party to plan and make sure everything was accounted for, they were simply able to celebrate THEM! And Amy and Carson are the first two people to get married under this beautiful gazebo out in the Riverlights neighborhood! They had a short & simple ceremony while their family watched on and they had a Zoom call with a few more people who couldn’t be there. Their dog, Summer, was able to join and wander around while we were out there and pop in and out as she pleased. I’m so happy I got to meet these two humans, and get to be a small part in their story. Congratulations, Amy & Carson!! I can’t wait until you get to celebrate with a bigger party, too!
